Rapid Coat developed pure epoxy-based Zinc Base powder coating defends against corrosion and abrasion. Thin Layer of Zinc base coating (Thickness:30-40micron)offers excellent chemical resistance, flexibility and high adhesion. Another reason that zinc base coating is so effective at stopping corrosion is due to zinc's own corrosive properties. Through a process known as galvanic corrosion, zinc will (defer) to the metal that it's protecting. At the basic level, a two coat system (Rapid coat zinc primer & Top coat) after a pre-treatment on substrate provides good resistance to atmospheric rust. Zinc primer curing schedule 180⁰C for 6 Minutes.
