Some precautions to be kept in mind while coating the Top Clear coat:- - Bottom finish clean well for an article is a need for clear coats. If
you do not have good bottom finish, otherwise you will have problems
with starring or back ionization & others.
- Do not over bake in between coats. If you over cured it then it causes base coat poor adhesion problems.
- Also, in two coat systems the high thickness of film builds also decreased the ability of the top clear coat powder to take chargeability. It's good to maintain minimum coating thickness of base coat for better charging of top coat.
- And do not topcoat a clear layer too high in thickness. Because high thickness clear coats give milky type colour on the base coat. But Rapid coat clear powder does not have such a problem.
- Check the temperature at the time of both coatings and be careful.
